Cancellations:

Once Road Runner Rentals Limited has confirmed your booking and the deposit is paid, that booking is subject to the following Cancellation Policy.

If you cancel a confirmed reservation 30 days or more in advance of the scheduled pickup date your deposit is nonrefundable.

If you cancel a confirmed Road Runner Rentals reservation 1-10 days from your scheduled pickup date you will be charged a cancellation fee of 50% of your total gross rental cost.

If you cancel a confirmed Road Runner Rentals reservation on the day of pickup or you fail to turn up Road Runner Rentals will charge you 100% of your gross rental cost.

If you return your Road Runner Rentals vehicle early for any reason there will be no refund available.

What to bring:

You must be 18 years of age to hire Road Runner Rentals vehicles, except hiring motorhomes where the age requirement is 21+ years.
You must have a current drivers license.
Any international drivers license accepted.
We accept drivers license from your country as long as it's in english.
We accept all Major Credit Cards/Debit Cards.
No bond will be capped on your card.
No charge for additional Drivers.
Road Runner Rentals Limited charges no credit card fees.
All payments are made in NZD and G.S.T(Goods and Services Tax) inclusive.

You must not:

Road Runner Rentals vehicles must not be driven on restricted Roads.

The hirer must not allow anyone who is not permitted to drive the vehicle to drive the vehicle.

Allow the Road Runner Rentals vehicle to be driven under the influence of alcohol, drugs or by anyone with a blood alcohol content that exceeds the legal limit within new zealand.

Drivers under 20 years, 30mg per 100mls blood.
Drivers over 20 years, 80mg per 100mls blood.

Must not allow a number of passengers that exceeds the number of seatbelts.

Use the vehicle to carry a without the use of an approved child restraint (seat).

Exceed the speed zone limits.

Vehicle Maintenance and Safety:

You must maintain engine oil to the correct level.

Report and vehicle warning lights that indicate a problem.

Ensure that tyres are maintained to correct pressure.

You just keep vehicle locked and keys under your personal controll at all times.

Hirer is responsable for filling the vehicle with the correct fuel type (petrol/diesel) and will be held responsable for any engine damage.

All Road Runner Rentals vehicles are smoke free, if smoke odor is detected by our staff a $65 cleaning fee will apply.

Immediatley report any damage to vehicle or property to Road Runner Rentals - Insurance excess will apply. Excess depends on which option you choose on your Rental Agreement.

You must not undertake or authorise any repairs to vehicle without prior agreement with Road Runner Rentals.

Tire punctures and replacement cost are the hirer's responsability to rectify, unless you have paid for Insurance cover.

Damage to vehicle from incorrectly fitted snow chains is not covered by insurance.

All tolls or fines must be paid, Road Runner Rentals will charge $50 extra towards any fines recieved that have not been paid by the hirer.

The hirer will be charged the full cost of replacing contents supplied by Road Runner Rentals (all kitchen utensils, cutlery, cooker, bedding, DVD player, table, chairs, fridge, power cord, heater and any other additional items hired from us).

Return of Vehicle:

You must return the vehicle to us.

Vehicle must be returned at the same time you picked up (there is a 1 hour grace period).

Two hours late - half day rental rate applies.
Three hours late - one full day rental rate applies.

We are open for rental returns from 9am.

Winter hours apply from 1st June till 31st August where pickup and drop off on weekends is limited between 10am and 2pm (with a full tank).

If you return the vehicle later than 4pm you will be charged an additional days hire.

Our Help / Obligations:

We will do our very best to get a replacement vehicle to you in the event of a breakdown or accident, subject to availability and location. If we are unable toprovide a replacement we will refund your hire fees for any whole days which have been lost. All vehicles have AA 24/7 roadside assist.
